Sonny & the Sunsets

We were friends of Esme Barrera and she became our guardian angel in Austin and took us around town and introduced us to folks and put us up when we’d pass through on tours. On visits we’d go to bbq’s or deep eddy’s, or play pool or she’d bring us to shows. She took Sonny to the toy store to pick out a presents for his son. She was the designated co-captain in the camper we had. And we danced at Jenny’s little long horn, then danced with motorcycle helmets on to her friend Linda’s jukebox.

There’s more to say, but we can’t yet. We feel like she found us, and then took us in. We were lucky to be friends with her. We will miss her.
